RULES
FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE STREET DRIFT COMPETITION CATEGORY AT THE ZADAR MEGA MEET
GENERAL
All competitors involved in motorsports from the category of sideslipping or drifting, including "amateurs" and "professionals", can apply to the competition.
The competition is of a promotional nature, i.e. it is not official and does not score points for the season, it is held in one category or class. The number of entries is limited due to the limited capacity of the space where the competition is held as part of the "5th Zadar Mega Meet" event. The competition will be conducted under the strictest control of safety measures in order to minimize the risk of endangering the audience and participants of the event. The organizer will confirm the received applications that have been accepted within a week. The organizer reserves the right to reject applications that cannot be accepted. The basic rules that apply to the CDC also apply to the competition, you can find them at the link http://www.croatiandriftchallenge.hr/pravilnik/ (some rules are excluded because the competition is unofficial or promotional in nature).
CHANGES TO THE RULES
Rules that are exempt from the CDC regulations, i.e. do NOT apply to our competition and the amended rules that apply:
-Item 2.2 Driver requirements - Article 2.2.1. / On the day of the event, competitors must be at the location no later than 10:00. Drivers sign a declaration of responsibility. The driver must have a driver's license, which does not have to be valid. If it is a minor, the parents assume responsibility and sign the consent.
-Item 3. STARTING NUMBERS AND STARTING ORDER - All articles / The starting order will be issued before the start of the competition, competitors must adhere to the starting order.
-Item 4. REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEES - All articles / Registrations are made via the online form by filling out and sending it. The registration fee for participation in the competition IS FREE.
-Item 10. PENALTIES - Only Article 10.1.4. has been changed / In our competition, this rule has been tightened because the competition is held on public areas where surface damage is not allowed. Any "burn out" or burning tires on the spot or any other form of burning tires that is not part of the competition is prohibited. The same will be punished with fines in the amount of 200 euros, and if there is surface damage, a fine in the minimum amount of 500 euros is paid to cover the costs of repair.
-Point 12. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS - All articles / Results are announced by the host on stage and are also published on the official website of the organizer.
-Point 13. AND 14. PRIZES - All articles / Prizes are commemorative plaques awarded for the first three places.
-Point 15. SCORING - valid but may vary depending on the number of participants in the competition
-for any vehicle that does not meet any of the requirements in the regulations upon registration, the organizing committee may subsequently determine whether the vehicle can participate in the competition.
TRACK
The drift track has a total length of approximately 400 meters and a minimum width of 8 meters. The track has somewhat faster transitions and smaller curves than standard drift tracks, and for this reason this drift competition is categorized as "Street Drift". The track meets all minimum technical requirements and is adequately marked and bordered by protective elements (tires, concrete barriers).
SAFETY
The safety of competitors and visitors is ensured by the following services: security, fire department and emergency medical service. The audience is at an adequate distance of at least 10 meters from the track (exceptionally 7 meters on an elevated area behind the concrete barrier). All competitors sign a liability statement. Drivers are responsible for their passengers during the drift taxi performance, the organizer disclaims any liability. The driver is obliged to provide a protective helmet for the passenger.
